Savalas Legend Continues at Palm Desert Greek Fest-2011 in Palm Desert, Ca

The Greeks of the Desert are throwing an anniversary Party! March 4-5-6, 2011. Dancing, Cooking lamb, drinking Ouzo & shouting OPA! Come "SPEND A WEEKEND IN GREECE" at the 15th Annual, Palm Desert Greek Fest. Sponsored by the St George Church at 74-109 Larrea Street.

"This year will be a great celebration with Guest Celebrity, Ariana Savalas leading the party", said Event Chairman, Niko Krespis. "We are very excited & privileged to have Ariana embracing our Festival. Her late father, Greek American actor Telly Savalas had deep connections to the desert and maintained two residences here."

"His beautiful & talented daughter, Ariana comes to the PD Greek Festival live from Athens, Greece where she will be performing on Simon Cowell's newest Hit Show, the X-Factor. Ariana is releasing her 1st American CD and will be performing songs for us, in both Greek & English at the 15th Anniversary, Palm Desert Greek Fest in honor of her Greek heritage and tribute to her father " says, Krespis.

Also, new this year is a Friday evening “Taverna Night” teaser with a limited menu and drinks to get things started. Then on to the traditional Saturday & Sunday 11am -9pm full Festival with Live Greek Music, Traditional Folk Dancers, Authentic homemade Foods, mouth watering Pastries, Greek Beer & Wine, Exotic International Vendors, Church tours, Byzantine Iconography & a Kids Zone.
