Night of celebration of The Greek Language and Literature

The Youth for the preservation of the Greek Heritage and the Hellenic Library are inviting you to a night of celebration of The Greek Language and Literature. (See the attached flyer)

We have tried hard to put this event together. Professor Apostolos Athanassakis (UCSB) has contributed to the selection of the pieces to be presented and he himself will participate on stage at that night. Poems, Readings, Theatrical Performance, Religious Hymns, Live Music (poems by Elytis, Gatsos, Ritsos etc, put to music by Xatzidakis, Theodorakis, etc), from Homer 'till today will be heard on stage.

We expect you to be part of this celebration by coming and bringing friends.

The event is in Greek but we will try to project English translations of most of the pieces to be presented.
