“LOS ANGELES CELEBRATES GREEK AMERICAN HISTORY!”

Due to popular demand, the City of Los Angeles, LA CityView Channel 35, will air “The Pioneers (1900-1942),” an award-winning documentary produced by the Greek Heritage Society of Southern California. Narrated by Olympia Dukakis and John Kapelos, “The Pioneers” chronicles the hardships and achievements of early Greek immigrants that migrated to Southern California. This one-hour documentary received the prestigious Award of Excellence from the Film Advisory Board in Hollywood and was awarded Best Documentary at the International Panorama of Independent Filmmakers in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Please join Councilman Tom LaBonge and the City of Los Angeles in celebrating Greek Independence Day by viewing “The Pioneers.”
